## What kind of game is Taxi Hero?

An arcade driving and taxi game, not a realistic simulator. It is played in landscape with one-thumb steering, in short sessions of 1:30 to 5:00. The style is a loud, bright cartoon seaside city with drifting, boost pads and traffic to dodge.

## How does a shift work?

A shift is one nonstop run. There is no loading between passengers and no pause when you drop one off.

1. Pick a fare: three passengers wait on the map at once. Close and quick, or far away and worth more.
2. Race it there: drift the corners, hit the boost pads, dodge the traffic. Crashing costs you the tip.
3. Get paid: fare, tip and bonus seconds on the clock, then straight to the next one.

Fast, clean rides pay tips and build a streak. Some regular passengers remember you. Once a shift, a VIP passenger wants a landmark and pays triple.

## What game modes are there?

- Shift: beat the clock and your best score. You choose the length: 1:30, 3:00 or 5:00.
- Freestyle: no clock at all. Cruise the city, pull stunts and hunt down hidden Hero Stars.
- Daily Shift: a new twist every day, with a streak calendar for playing daily.

## What is in the garage?

Seven taxis, each with its own body and engine sound. Customise them with paint, two-tone roofs, rims, stickers, underglow, trails, roof props (including a couch on the roof), googly eyes, horns and your own number plate.

## Does the weather change?

Yes. Sunny, rain, fog, snow and night shifts change grip and visibility: rain makes the tyres slide, fog hides the next corner, snow covers the seafront, and at night your underglow lights up the road.

Auto gas, or gas and brake pedals, plus three steering sensitivities (Light, Normal, Sharp). The game asks which you prefer on first launch, then starts your first shift. Change them later in Settings (Auto Gas, Steering).

- Ads: short interstitial ads between shifts, never while you drive; in the untimed Freestyle mode, one short break ad about every five minutes. Rewarded videos (for example to continue a shift or double your cash) are always optional.
- Optional in-app purchases: Remove Ads (one-time; switches off interstitials, rewarded videos stay optional), a Hero Bundle, a Starter Pack for new players, cash packs, cosmetic extras, a custom plate, and a VIP subscription (monthly or yearly) that removes interstitials and adds perks.
- Shift cash and the regular taxis can all be earned by driving. A few cosmetics (premium paints, the Rainbow Trail, the siren taxis, the custom plate, the weather pack) and the VIP perks are purchase-only.

As of September 2026, SEGA's new Crazy Taxi: World Tour is announced for consoles and PC, with no mobile version announced.

### I bought Remove Ads or a taxi and it's gone after reinstalling.
Open the store in the game (the gift icon) and tap Restore Purchases, signed in to the same Google or Apple account you bought with. Subscriptions restore the same way.

### How do I cancel the VIP subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by your store: Google Play, your profile, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions; on iPhone, Settings, your name, Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; VIP stays active until the paid period ends.

### I lost my progress.
Progress is saved on your device only; there is no account and no cloud save in this version. Uninstalling the game deletes it and it cannot be restored. Purchases can always be restored.

### How do I turn off personalised ads?
Settings (gear icon), Ad Privacy, Basic. Interstitial ads disappear entirely with Remove Ads or VIP.

### The taxi drives itself / I want manual gas.
Settings, Auto Gas. Off means you hold the GAS pedal yourself. Steering has Light, Normal and Sharp.

### The game runs slowly.
